Your destination wedding planner for every couple whoever you love
Alex Bayle-Derrien — ABD Weddings (Amours Bruts & Délicats)
My role, both subtle and structured, is to guide you with calm and clarity, so the journey feels warm, fluid and reassuring. Even from afar.
I’m here to understand who you are, to listen with intention, and to help you design a wedding that feels genuinely personal.
I love creating celebrations where you truly see yourselves reflected.
Elegant, modern weddings where nothing is forced and every detail holds meaning.
As someone who is sensitive, warm and deeply human, I care about offering an experience where you always feel seen, heard and supported. Whoever you are, and whoever you love.
What guides my work
For me, designing a wedding isn’t about “projects” or “tasks”. It’s about your story, your emotions, your connection, and creating a celebration that honours what you share.
Nothing should feel imposed or performative. Every step should feel calm, aligned and thoughtfully guided.
You, your voice, your story: that’s where everything begins.
I listen deeply. I help you clarify what matters most. And I transform all of this into a celebration that feels elegant, modern and unmistakably you.
You never have to fit into a mould. You don’t need to justify who you are. You simply need to be yourselves, and I’ll shape your wedding around that truth.
Everything is designed with your emotions, your pace and your comfort in mind.
Why I became a destination wedding planner?
In 2024, while organising my own wedding, I truly understood the emotional weight a celebration can carry: how it can be soft, moving, transformative.
During those months of preparation, I realised how deeply I loved guiding others through this journey: listening to their doubts, clarifying their ideas, easing the pressure, creating calm, and giving them space to enjoy each moment.
And with destination weddings, when you’re planning from afar, everything intensifies: the joy, the excitement, the stress, the need for deeper trust.
My background in marketing and communication gave me structure and creativity.
But my own wedding gave me what I was missing: the desire to place emotion at the centre, to work with meaning, and to support couples with warmth and sincerity.
I trained with experienced planners, including at the Business & Wedding School and EFMM, and shaped my own approach: a blend of organisation, empathy and sensitivity.
And this is how my wedding plannning agency was born: ABD Weddings (Amours Bruts & Délicats), a place where excellence meets heart.
What's the meaning of ABD Weddings?
ABD stands for Amours Bruts & Délicats, a name filled with meaning
AMOURS
LOVE
In French, it’s plural, because love comes in many forms: LGBTQ+ or heterosexual, tender, joyful, bold or gentle.
Your story comes first.
I want you to feel welcomed, understood and confident at every moment of your wedding.
BRUTS
RAW
What is raw and true: the essence of who you are.
Your emotions, the sincerity of your bond, your way of loving.
I want your wedding to reflect your truth, without filters, without pretence.
&
and
The connection between you two: meaning, intention, harmony.
It’s the space where your ideas take shape and where your story becomes a celebration.
This is the bond we’ll create, together.
DÉLICATS
REFINED
The refined, intentional, elegant details.
A modern aesthetic rooted in softness and sensitivity.
Nothing showy, everything meaningful.
I draw inspiration from your tastes, your personalities, and what truly matters to you.
and ABD are also my initials, now that I’m a married man. because this agency was born from my own love story, and from the day I married my husband.

A wedding planner for LGBTQ+ couples and every couple who values emotional safety
I support all love stories, LGBTQ+ and heterosexual, with the same care, the same attention and the same commitment to emotional safety.
Being part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, and having experienced my own gay wedding in France, I know how essential it is to feel welcomed without having to explain, justify or hide anything.
That’s why many queer couples choose me:
not because they “need” a queer planner, but because they want a planner who already understands what matters.
If you’re LGBTQ+, you’ll find:
– a safe, respectful and warm space
– a planner who listens deeply
– no assumptions, no judgement
– clear communication
– a celebration that feels like you
But this approach benefits all couples.
Sensitivity, empathy and clarity make the journey smoother for everyone.
Whether you’re looking for full planning, coordination or consulting, I guide you with warmth, structure and respect, to create a celebration that feels personal, meaningful and deeply yours.
A few (possibly useless) things about me
29 years old (and yes, 30 is waving at me from the back of the room).
Dad to two cats, Lys & Lune, unquestionably the best cuddle-employees.
Born in Grenoble, now happily rooted in Bordeaux.
Aquarius with a Cancer rising: dreamy, sensitive, creative… with a tiny bit of attitude.
One little brother, one big sister: classic middle child energy.
Quiet and introverted until I feel comfortable.
Pasta lover: I could eat it every single day (the cook in the couple? Definitely my husband)
Obsessed with F1, true crime, and rewatching One Tree Hill whenever I need comfort (younger me hated F1, five years ago everything changed).
Ran a half-marathon once… and decided that was enough for now (I do love sports though)
Passionate about South Korea and everything around it (went twice, proposed there)
I love writing and reading (I could stay up all night just to finish a book)
