Talking about yourself isn’t always easy… But since we might spend several months (sometimes even a whole year!) planning one of the most beautiful days of your life, I believe connection matters. A lot.
So here we go, let me introduce myself. Who’s behind Amours Bruts & Délicats (ABD)?
Please, don’t call me Alexandre… I prefer Alex (even if yes, technically, Alexandre is my full name ahah).
I won’t pretend I was that kid who always dreamed of organizing weddings or the teenager who wanted to run his own business. Truth is, that wasn’t me.
My journey started differently: with a degree in law and then a master’s in digital marketing. Yet somehow, events were never far away: every chance I got, I’d pick projects that involved organizing, creating, bringing ideas to life.
After graduating, I left my hometown in the French Alps and moved to Bordeaux, in the South-West of France. I instantly fell in love: with the city, its rhythm, and its light.
For seven years, I worked in marketing and communication, gradually specializing in social media: a perfect mix of creativity, structure, and endless possibilities.
And even on my personal accounts, I’ve always loved sharing, posting, and connecting with others.
In 2023, I proposed to the man who would become my husband, on the highest mountain in South Korea, during our dream trip. (Yes, I like to go all in.)
A year later, we started planning our wedding. And very quickly, we realized: if we wanted something beautiful, fluid, and true to who we are… we’d need help. Wedding planning is a real craft, and we learned that the hard way! So we worked with a wedding coach who guided us, gave us tools, and helped us make sense of it all. It was intense, sometimes stressful, but slowly, something inside me shifted.
I understood that weddings aren’t just “a day” or “a luxury”.
They’re one of those rare moments in life when all your loved ones gather in one place.
When you get to say, this is us, and it’s beautiful.
When love is celebrated, unapologetically.
And those memories? They stay forever.
That’s when it hit me: I wanted other couples to feel the same. To experience those emotions, that joy, that sense of truth and connection. And I wanted to be the person by their side to make it all happen.
When the company I worked for eventually closed, I took it as a sign. The moment to finally listen to that little voice inside me whispering: Go for it. It’s your turn.
I trained, learned, built and in the summer of 2025, Amours Bruts & Délicats was born.
I wanted a name that sounded beautiful, yes. But above all, meaningful.
AMOURS (love), in plural: because I believe in all forms of love. Queer couples, LGBTQ+, straight, unconventional, traditional: every love story deserves to be celebrated.
BRUTS (raw): for authenticity and sincerity. Your wedding should look and feel like you: without the “shoulds” or the boxes to tick.
& stands for the bond. Between you two, of course. But the one that connects you to your loved ones, your friends, your families… And the one I hope we’ll build together through months of preparation. Because I won’t just be the logistical conductor: I’ll be your emotional ally, your steady hand when things feel too much.
Finally, DÉLICATS (delicate) reflects elegance, aesthetics and the modern beauty I want to infuse into every celebration. Because your love is beautiful and your wedding should rise to meet it.
(And fun fact: ABD also happens to be my initials, Alex Bayle-Derrien.)
Yes, I work with all couples and all love stories.
But I do have a soft spot for LGBTQ+ and queer weddings, because let’s be honest, representation still matters (especially in France).
As a gay man and a husband myself, I know what it feels like to plan your wedding while asking questions that others might never have to.
The doubts. The fear of not being fully understood by vendors. The worry of not being seen.
And that recurring thought: what rules apply to us? (Spoiler: none, except the ones you decide.)
That’s why I aim to create a real safe space for every couple I work with: a space where you can be yourselves, fully and freely.
We’ll find sincere, open-minded vendors who share your values.
We’ll make sure your planning feels smooth, joyful, and true.
And we’ll build a celebration that reflects you: no filters, no compromises.
So if this resonates with you, if it feels aligned, whether you’re part of the community or not, I’m confident we’ll make a great match.
